About
About DataVault
DataVault is a vault for the world's open and official data. It gathers what governments, institutions, registries, scientific bodies and standards organisations publish freely, keeps every version of it, and makes it ready to query — so that the data an organisation needs is already on the shelf.
Why we built it
Public data is everywhere, but it is scattered across thousands of portals, shipped in dozens of formats, and usually shows only the current state — yesterday's version is gone the moment it changes. That makes genuinely useful work slow: every team re-collects the same sources, and no one holds the history.
DataVault does that collection once, for everyone. It keeps each version permanently, resolves identities across sources, and presents the result through a single platform with search, notebooks and an AI analyst. The aim is simple: turn freely available data into something dependable enough to build on.
How we work
- Open and official sources only. Everything in the vault is data that is lawfully and freely available — public registries, official statistics, regulators, scientific repositories and standards bodies.
- Every version kept. Records are archived immutably; changes become history you can look back on.
- EU-sovereign. The platform is hosted in Europe on European infrastructure, built with regulated industries in mind.
