These terms govern your use of the DataVault website and platform, operated by Galactic Automation BV. By using DataVault you agree to them.
1. The service
DataVault aggregates open and official data from public sources and makes it searchable and analysable through a platform. We work to keep the service accurate and available, but it is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
2. Acceptable use
- Use DataVault lawfully and do not use it to infringe anyone's rights.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service.
- Do not use the service to re-identify individuals or otherwise misuse data in ways the original sources prohibit.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly of any unauthorised use.
4. Data and intellectual property
The data in the vault originates from third-party sources and remains subject to those sources' own licences and terms; DataVault does not claim ownership of it. The DataVault platform, software, design and brand are the property of Galactic Automation BV and may not be copied or reused without permission.
5. No warranty
Open data can contain errors, gaps and delays. We make no warranty that the data is complete, accurate or fit for a particular purpose, and you are responsible for verifying anything you rely on. DataVault does not provide legal, financial or professional advice.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Galactic Automation BV is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, or for decisions made in reliance on the data.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Any disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the judicial district of East Flanders (Ghent division), without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
